Welcome
We love to search for rare, unique, one-of-a-kind items with nostalgic appeal, character and history and a hint of fresh whimsy.
These are the things we love and want to share with people that are as passionate about them as we are.
Let's imagine. You pass by an old drab shop every day. You’ve never really noticed it before because nothing has ever stood out at you or peaked your interest. One day you have an appointment in the area that you are too early for (OK, I DID say IMAGINE), so you decide waste a few minutes. You step up onto the stoop and turn the handle thinking to yourself, "Maybe I should have sat in the car and balanced my checkbook" (again, I said IMAGINE). You step in and your mouth drops. What you see before you is:
A sunny room,
warm, fresh breezes billowing through the cheerful, light curtains,
the fragrant smell of sweet peas, lavender, and sweet orange,
creams and whites, lavender and Robin's egg blue, pale greens and pinks, touches of blacks and punches of just the right colors,
freshly painted curvy furniture and chippy paint among ornate richly hued wood antiques and gilded picture frames,
artful containers filled with the most wondrous things like handmade soaps and treasured, story-telling buttons, salvaged clock faces and rusty old keys,
modern, creative touches of trendy, chic and whimsy (this ain't your Grandfather's Oldsmob... uh, um... shop),
comfy, time-worn, ornate French and English chairs and a lounge chaise with beautiful scattered area rugs slipped underneath,
pretty shelves loaded with elegant porcelain figurines of people and birds and timeless trinkets,
flower bouquets in gorgeous sparkling crystal top a bright, retro 50's kitchen table set for talks and coffee,
armoires holding vignettes of candlesticks and collections of feathers, nests, eggs,
beautiful journals whispering creative visions, secret thoughts, and adventures,
Old books of poetry and the classics bundled with ribbon with gift-giving ribbon bookmarks tucked inside speak of timeless love,
Old papers, ephemera, and architectural remnants with the charm still intact resting in front of pictures of family long-faded,
old-world clocks, on scrollwork tables, saying it's eternally tea time,
reading nook lamps, decorative screens and dreamy chandeliers for every room,
a china cabinet with delicate china, dainty filigree silver spoons, creamy white teacups and teapot with embossed edges, and silver-plated tableware of all sorts,
stoneware pottery filled with wildflowers and fruit sitting on a sideboard,
vintage and antique cooking utensils, aprons and tea towels like the ones Grandma had,
dressers full of lovely fabrics of floral and toile, rich jacquards, satins and Grandmother's bright vintage and awe-inspiring trims, laces, and sewing notions,
doilies and linens flowing out of wardrobes tucked with lavender bunches,
stately art deco rhinestones, pearls, jewels, and flirty and feminine hats worn by fashionable ladies from a time gone-by,
stylish pens along-side of beautiful new journals and pretty stationary to write words of friendship, love and remembered dreams,
a comfortable wicker porch rocker, wrought iron and romantic cast-cement garden pieces like urns and birdbaths create a tranquil, cottage retreat feel,
and grand mirrors that once reflected families laughing, singing and socializing now reflecting rustic baskets filled with gifts from the past....
You think, "Oh, my gosh, I want this to be my shop”, and you wonder why it can't be.
This was our dream, now we are making it a reality...
